I knew Gene Sutton back when he was Assistant Professor of Homiletics and Liturgics at Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN (1992-1995). I was a divinity student, and then a student in the Graduate Dept. of Religion, at the time.
I remember Gene as fine teacher and a wonderful preacher. I wish him all the best in this process.
